Question

How long does a 360° Watch finding affect the score and medal eligibility?

The 360° Watch scoring starts at 75/100 for each theme: positive findings raise it to 100; negative findings lower it — minor findings by 25 points (to 50), major by 50 (to 25), severe by 75 (to 0).

Two separate timelines apply to negative findings. Score impact: findings affect the 360° Watch indicator for 5 years for Environment, Labour & Human Rights and Sustainable Procurement; for 5-10 years for Ethics depending on the type — 5 years for information security, 7 for corruption and bribery, 10 for anti-competitive practices. The clock runs from the date of the underlying event, not the date EcoVadis identified it: a corruption event from 2022 clears by 2029 under the 7-year rule. Medal ineligibility: major and severe findings can block eligibility for 3 years (Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Sustainable Procurement) and 5 years for Ethics.

Companies can only formally appeal a finding if the underlying issue has been fully resolved and the company was found innocent. Plan your improvement strategy around the negative clearing timeline if you carry a past event.
