Question
What methodology should be used for a Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) submission?
EcoVadis accepts PCF data calculated in accordance with ISO 14067 (the primary international standard for greenhouse-gas quantification of products) or the GHG Protocol Product Standard. Sector-specific PCF methodologies — such as the PACT (Partnership for Carbon Transparency) Pathfinder framework, widely used in manufacturing supply chains — are also accepted as credible evidence.
For the submission, the PCF should be documented as part of a product-level environmental management approach, linked to your broader GHG data, with the methodology and calculation scope clearly stated.
