Question

For first-time assessments and SMEs: what are the most common documentation gaps?

Four gaps appear consistently. First, no public sustainability report or multi-year KPI summary, which caps Reporting at 50/100. Second, a Code of Conduct without evidence that employees have received and acknowledged it. Third, a procurement policy with no explicit sustainability requirements for suppliers. Fourth, environmental policies that reference targets without providing baseline data or a tracking mechanism. All four are fixable within one cycle — and fixing them is largely a formalisation exercise, not a transformation programme.
